Corinna Incorporated - 1816

The Town of Corinna was incorporated by the Massachusetts legislature in 1816. At that time there were at least 26 families living in the area. The center of town was in what is now known as Morse's Corner. The first town meeting was held in 1817.

In the original petition for incorporation the town was called North Wood. The name Corinna was chosen a few years later.
