Comment: We've been keeping tabs on the demolition of the mill since a lot of family members worked at the mill over the years. In Cils family her father, Francis Ouellette, Clem Willett (uncle) Dick Willett (cousin) and others worked at the mill in various departments. In my family, I worked at the mill as a bobbin filler, loom cleaner and weave room helper in the 60's. I recall when I left that Homer Brown & Bernard Davis told me I would be back to the mill someday---everyone comes back to the mill! I never did!! My brothers worked
the mill in their high school days. My father worked the mill for many years (John). Many of my aunts & uncles (Kate Mullen, James Mullen, Clara Buxton, Gladys Larrabee) worked the mill. My grandmother Edith Buckland worked in the weave room for many years. Her sister, Kate Mullen, worked in the weave room for 61 years! I am forwarding this site to brothers Bruce & Val so that they can keep up with the Corinna times!
Thanks for the computer page and information!

Comment: You are doing a great job recording Corinna history in the making. Wonderful to see our daily changes reaching so many all around the country. Things sure look different, but we are anticipating a new look that will enhance our history. Thanks also for the plug for Stewart Free Library. We will still look the same - as good as ever. Your librarian!

Comment: As a long time resident of Corinna, we were delighted to see all the pictures of
the mill demo in progress and the comments. My sister and I loved the recycling experiment - great job. I guess we don't have a life either!
Greetings to other family members we found - cousins Ruthie, Franklin (Arthur), and brother Jack. Thanks to my sister for making this available to me. She loved it too! Great job, Ken

Comment: Enjoy following your website and seeing all the former residents names that
follow what you are doing. I see the changes everyday, but your photos capture a lot more than my quick look driving by. Nice to see your ribs aren't keeping you down. It sure does change daily now.

Comment: It is so refreshing to have your web site to show the people of Corinna of our progress in the demolition of the "Green Monster". We are so fortunate to have gotten the grants to enable us to do this. Thanks to our past and current administrations for their persistence in attaining the "Superfund" to do this for our little town. Our new "Plans" for" Re-vitalization" of downtown is extra-ordinary and we all hope it receives full support from everyone. Also, our plans for " New Land Use Ordinances" can only enhance our lives here in the Town of Corinna.

Comment: My husband, Rick, works for the EPA and is spending much of his time in Corinna. I've been unable to visit Corinna to date -- but wish I could (because I miss
HIM!!) and would like to see where he's spending so much time. He told me of this web-site this morning and I'm so glad he did!! Next, I'd love to see a picture of him!!! Thank you -- and I'm sure I'll keep "tuning in"..

Comment: Hi Ya Jarv!
Love your website, it's awesome! How
are your poor ribs? Keep up the good work. I'll visit often. I usually leave for school before the sun comes up and I don't return until it is dark, so your website will show me more that I can ever see in person. I've been directing a play down here at MVJHS called "Mountain Fever". The kids are doing great and it is going to be a hoot! We'll be putting it on on March 23 & 24.

Comment: Ken,
It's fascinating the way you can take a picture and have it on the internet within a few hours. Reference: today's picture.
The town will sure look different with all of the open space.
It might interest some of your site visitors like Marilyn Jaworski-Chalker to know that the town clock will soon be counting out the hours again. According to the Town Manager, back in November anyway, they are hoping for a start up in March or April of this year.
Thanks again for all of your efforts.
Keep up the fine work.
